Lot-1 is a young woodland, planted on former agricultural land measuring a combined area of approximately 8.5 acres in area, predominantly planted in broadleaf ash, which is located in a highly scenic setting overlooking Killybegs Harbour. The land occupies an elevated position located less than 250m from Carntullagh Pier and Slipway, a scenic cove fronting into Killybegs Harbour. It offers a superb vantage point from which to take in the movement of maritime traffic in and around the port. Killybegs Harbour is home to Ireland's largest fishing fleet of midwater pelagic trawlers, and in recent years, Killybegs has become the favoured port for international cruise ships.
