An active charity committee, headed up by DNG Chairman Paul Newman, regularly meet to discuss upcoming events and to decide on which charities to support.

In the last year, staff members have taken part in a number of activities from running marathons to partaking in the ‘Ice Bucket Challenge’ for a number of the charities listed below -

DNG supporting Barretstown
Barretstown is a specially-designed camp that provides Therapeutic Recreation programmes for children with serious illnesses and their families. More information on Barretstown can be found here.
DNG have just completed (October 2015) a €40,000 raffle and prizes fundraiser for Barretstown in under four weeks. It is DNG's third event this year for its chosen charity for 2015. In June it entered a team in the Eversheds Sports Day and in August it held a pub quiz raising €1,300.
DNG supporting Ronald McDonald House
The mission of RMHC, Ireland, is to provide a Ronald McDonald House in order to support families whose children are seriously ill in hospital. The Ronald McDonald House provides accommodation and a caring and supportive environment for families whose children are seriously ill and are hospitalised or undergoing medical treatment at Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital, Crumlin, Dublin 12. DNG supporting Threshold
Threshold was founded in 1978. It is a registered charity whose aim is to secure a right to housing, particularly for households experiencing the problems of poverty and exclusion. More information on Threshold can be found here.
DNG supporting the Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association
The Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association (IMNDA) is the only organisation of its kind providing care and support to people with Motor Neurone Disease, their families, friends and carers. More information on IMNDA can be found here.
DNG supporting Breast Cancer Ireland
Breast Cancer Ireland is a registered charity (CHY 19926) established to raise significant funding to support pioneering research programmes nationally as well as to promote education & awareness on the importance of breast health amongst women of all ages. DNG supporting Rathmines Women's Refuge
Rathmines Women’s Refuge caters for women with or without children who are escaping domestic violence. It offers emergency accommodation, support and information, counselling and court accompaniment services. Contact details for Rathmines Women's Refuge can be found here.
